Just watched the episode in question again. I'm thinking that this just might be a prank, and that we all are making fools out of ourselves.
Still, the show ridicules Muslims, sort of, as the standard rhetoric separates bin Laden from the general Muslim public, but keeps Mohammed off limits. For now. The next move, if I was Parker and Stone (and I'm not) would be to do a follow-up show or shows. First, spend the half hour showing all the "Mohammeds" around the world. End with Atta. Then, actually draw the "real Mohammed" and have him, say, in bed with the Easter Bunny and Britney Spears' nanny.
That would be funny.
