The release today of tapes from Saddam Hussein's inner sanctum regarding WMDs will be the subject of some controversy, with one side claiming that hey prove that Saddam had the weapons, or was planning on giving them to a third party, or something else, and the other side saying that they prove nothing of the sort. A lot of the disagreement will come down to the different translations. This is a problem for non-Arabic speakers to grasp (not that I have any expertise; I don know that those studying Arabic speak of the difficulty in making consistent translations).
