Taliban Takes The Head Off Of Headmaster.

What is one to do when one lives in a sewer of self-delusion and religious psychosis? Or when one sees the education of girls as tantamount to the most heinous of crimes? Well, if one is also beset by the delusion that some god or another commands that anything done in its service is not only welcome, but compulsory, then you get crap like this:

Suspected Taleban insurgents beheaded a school teacher late Tuesday in central Afghanistan. The murder is the latest in an apparent terror campaign targeting teachers and schools in Afghanistan.

Family members found Abdul Habib's decapitated body at home home, not far from his school in Zabul province.

Government spokesman Ali Khail says unknown assailants broke into the headmaster's house.

He says neighbors called the police after they heard Mr. Habib screaming. By the time officials reached the scene the popular teacher was already dead.

Mr. Habib's infraction against Allah was to be engaging in the education of girls.

Note the use of the word "insurgents." Other news outlets are employing, variously, "rebels," "militants" and the resurrected, but always fun, "guerillas."

It's so nice to see that at least Afghanistan is under control.
