Random Fate announces a milestone, having surpassed 100,000 hits. This is a good feeling for a blogger (I guess; I'm a way off, myself) and something that should be celebrated. So congratulations, Jack and please continue.
Blogging is a narcissistic endeavor. That is a fine thing, as far as I'm concerned. Humility has nothing to do with achievement. Humility is a quality, not a raison d'etre. No one wants to read someone who says, "I really can't write, but please read me anyway."
Too many good bloggers hang it up out of frustration. I have considered this, too. But traffic is only one measure of success. I would love to get 100,000 hits a day. Hell, I would like 1,000 hits a day. For now, I don't, but who knows?
But I blog for the same reason I read: because I have to. I no longer have a choice, so I will do it until it isn't imperative anymore.
Keep it up, Jack. Keep it up.

Thanks!!!!
I appreciate the thoughts.
