The story of Oklahoma University bomber Joel Henry Hinrichs III is starting to get interesting. It seems as if he may be more (or less, depending on your opinion) than a mere troubled kid. Generation Why? has a roundup of the salient points, including the feature that Hinrichs attended the Norman Mosque, the same mosque attended by Zacarias Moussaoui. Also, the explosives were the typed used by shoebomber Richard Reid, which are said to be very hard to get in the U.S.
Mark Tapscott, writing for Newsbusters, doesn't seem to be buying the official story, either:
The Daily Oklahoman is reporting authorities found a large cache of bomb-making materials in Hinrichs' apartment. The cache is so big that the Oklahoman quoted one of the officials on the scene as estimating a full 24 hours would be required to cart away all of the material.
Suicide victims don't normally accumulate a large amount of bomb-making material in their homes. People intent on blowing up other people do.
Tapscott has several other points worth pondering.
It also seems that Hinrichs has "Islamic jihad" materials in his possession before the bombing.
Wanna get more freaked out? The work of Jayna Davis, the journalist who has been dogging the story that there may have been an Islamic connection to the Oklahoma City bombings deepens this somewhat. Davis reported on an FBI alert looking for a pickup truck stolen from an Oklahoma factory worker by two men of Middle Eastern appearance. The truck was stolen in Norman, OK and found five miles from the Murrah Building.
This doesn't mean a thing, of course. But the coincidence is interesting, no?

Why did he kill himself alone with a huge crowd just yards away? Accidental?
