Matt

She didn't even pretend to have connection problems, she just said "I only have 2 minutes...I have to go" and wouldn't answer his questions.

Pat Goodall

Cindy Sheehan does 250+ interviews a week, has answered that exact question hundreds of times already and has not been afraid to appear on much tougher shows than that. Sorry to disappoint you but she actually had to go.

Daniel

Pat,

I don't think so. Her people and NPR's people had set this up in advance. Why would she walk out on NPR, where she could be assured of at least a respectful if not friendly reception? If you listen to the feed, she answers her questions like a child and like a child, throws a tantrum when she's asked to explain herself. It was not a bravura performance.

James Lloyd

That's one of the top three questions she gets asked. She's answered it hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of times already.

Rich

Well it took a bigger wind bag then Cindy Sheehan to steal the media spot light away from her but thanks mother nature for the break from her mouth. Katrina has spared all of us from another week of nonsense from the anti war protesters. My children think Cindy Sheehan is a dirty word and every time they saw a news report on her would say," Shame on that man or woman for cussing like that". I will never try and correct them for speaking the truth. My mom always said you can't fool dogs or kids.

I still want to know who is funding the anti-war march down in Crawford. Those tents and caterers are not cheap not to mention the paramedics on duty 24 hours a day. I suspect we will all learn in the next week or so who footed the bill for that disaster as soon as they see how it all plays out. The statistics today show most Americans have stopped listening to the Sheehan saga and have formed a less then favorable opinion of her and her so called cause. The majority polled think she has a hidden agenda or is just nuts. I think they are right on both accounts myself. Cindy you can go home now before someone drops a house on you, you wicked little witch you!!

Daniel

Look people, if she's answered these questions hundreds of times, shouldn't she be better at it already?

> Her people and NPR's people had set this up in advance.

It's almost certain it was set up in advance. It's very common for someone who does 250+ interviews a week to say "I'll do it but I've only got a few minutes". Cindy Sheehan has interviews set up in advance all day, every day. That's why she has to go.

Cindy Sheehan has already done a whole stack of interviews for NPR. They've asked her every question in the book. By the way, NPR have been very good to Cindy Sheehan!!

If she disappeared today and was never heard from again, she has still transformed the debate about the war.

> My children think Cindy Sheehan is a dirty word

Whatever.

> I still want to know who is funding the anti-war march down in Crawford.

The general public donated 100,000 in just one single day.

Yawn. Do you just make it all up as you go along? Here's a big poll.

I LOVE IT! You types never used to be like this. You’re furious, spitting, bitter, mad as hell… over a housewife! Feeling threatened?? Ha ha.

Daniel

"You types."

Frankly, madam, you have no idea what "type" I am. And if you had taken some time to look around this blog instead of finding it on technorati and coming here with your talking points (Cindy answers these questions hundreds of times a day) you would know that I have no set type.

I may be mistaken, but you seem to think that somehow Sheehan is above criticism. She isn't.

She isn't a demon and she isn't a saint. She's just a woman, unhinged by bitterness and grief that has been promoted and packaged for an agenda. As a now public figure, she gets what she asked for.

Pat Goodall

> Frankly, madam, you have no idea what "type" I am.

Maybe not but I didn't reply to you and I didn't quote you. My post was in reply to someone who teaches his children to hate and then called Cindy Sheehan a wicked witch. I was referring to those types who seem to be crawling allo over the internet.

So, either she asked for it or she didn't. Make up your mind.

> I may be mistaken, but you seem to think that somehow Sheehan is
> above criticism. She isn't.

You are mistaken. I don't think Cindy Sheehan is perfect and in fact I wouldn't otherwise take any interest in her. I do think the attacks on her (in general) have been off-the-point, dishonest, deceptive, evil, disgusting, un-Christian, perverted and sometimes demonic.

Daniel

I'm amending my comment here. You (Pat) want to drive the discussion into a simple answer that is very indicative of a certain mindset. Cindy started out as one thing and morphed into another. What's so hard about that concept?

She has by now made enough ridiculous statements to put her into the conspiracy camp. To continue to defend the fevered rantings of a clueless voicebox demonstrates a loose relationship with reality.

Pat Goodall

Really sorry to disappoint you, but clueless voiceboxes demonstrating a loose relationship with reality, don't get a US and global audience for a single minute let alone an entire month or more.

If you don't like her, fine. If you disagree with her, fine. But spare us from desperate wishful thinking.

Daniel

>but clueless voiceboxes demonstrating a loose relationship with reality, don't get a US and global audience for a single minute let alone an entire month or more.

So how did Bush get elected?

What is my "wishful thinking?" I haven't wished anything on her. You're the one dabbling in wishes, not me.

What do you not comprehend? Oh yeah, oh gee, I'm so sorry. You must be right. Mother Cindy will lead us all to the promised land. Sheesh.
