I have spoken again to my daughter. She is concerned for her friends, of course, and has spoken to each of them . I got a grand total of ten minutes before we lost the connection but it was good to hear her voice.
She expressed much the same sentiment about the locations of the blasts that I had voiced earlier.
To the many who have visited today, thanks for coming. I hope at least some of you stick around. To those who think I have suddenly gone soft on Islamic terrorism, I direct you to this post. Noting that terrorists often target their own is not excusing murder. It is merely pointing out that the battle is a lot wider and not as simple as killing every Muslim just in case there are a few terrorists left.
I am all for killing terrorists. I have repeatedly criticized upon the so-called moderate Muslim community to rise up and do more to battle the terror element in their midst. It is about time that the wider Muslim world understand that they are just as much at risk as the rest of us.
Terrorism works until it ceases to work. Ultimately, it loses.
