I have just talked to Caitlin who had only heard of the attacks about two hours ago. All her friends are fine. Her boyfriend lives right next to the Edgware station. She was able to get him for a few minutes before the phones went down for some reason. He's safe also, but is saying that there is an eery tension on the street right now. He watched the rescue from his window and saw many injured.
He is an interesting mix of cultures and a good kid. A dual citizen of both Britain and Israel with roots in France, he has a unique and intelligent view of the world. I will not publish his name here as he is a former member of the Israeli army. He and Caitlin have a large group of friends, many of which are in London from somewhere else. They are a veritable UN in which things actually happen and cultures actually learn to appreciate each other.
Of course, Caitlin is going a little nuts being so far away from her friends and the city she has come to call home. I'll update if I hear anything more.
