Yes, Maggie is right. I have Spring fever something awful. For those of you living in Pittsburgh, you know why I am in such a state of euphoria. Pittsburgh's weather is probably second only to Seattle in it's dreariness and dampness. By some fluke, while poor ol' Southern California has had a spate of rainy days, Pittsburgh has enjoyed, what is it now? ten days of clear, beautiful Spring days In A Row. This is hard on the heels of what virtually everyone agrees was a particularly wretched Winter.
It can't last much longer and soon I'll be back complaining about the rain and cold, no doubt. But it's Sunday and the sky is blue and the air is warm and I'm outs here for the day.
Last year I started a garden for the first time and I'm planning more tomatoes and a lot more basil and as many chillie varieties I can find. The mint and tarragon are up already, the thyme never went away (but the rosemary passed on for some reason) and the parsley heartily survived the Winter.
So off to the garden market and lunch. We'll be grilling tonight. I am so happy.

Heh. Actually, "spring fever" is laziness, distraction, and yearning, caused by spring's springiness.
