Reese Schonfeld, former CNN President was on Fox this morning talking about RatherGate. The segment was filled with the requisite "wanted to believe" "competitive zeal" nonsense that we've been hearing from media apologists. At the end, Steve Doocy asked him about allegations that the whole debacle was perpetrated by shadowy political operatives. Who might those political operatives be? asked Doocy.
Schonfeld replied (I paraphrase) that the Democrats aren't smart enough to think up and execute such a set-up, so you can draw your own conclusions. Well. Is Schonfeld making ephemeral accusations al a Armstrong Williams or is he just an old crank talking out his paranoid butt like Walter Cronkite?
Dementia has set in to media outlets as the old-timey way of getting news becomes sclerotic and irrelevant.
It is not often one gets to witness the breaking apart of an empire. With the fall of the Soviet Union and now the news media, we have been treated to two giant collapses inside two decades.
Courage.

Witnessed the interview...but had no tape running. I didn't think anyone would believe me if I recounted Schonfeld's comments...Perhaps seniors should rethink ordering drugs through Canada.
