This story from the AP dovetails well, I think with the discussion about how best to fight the WoT. In the article, Secretary Rumsfeld seems to treat with a certain lack of seriousness soldiers' concerns about the lack of armor for vehicles. His response "You go to war with the army you have" ignores the fact that we've been at this for three years now. The war machine should be pumping out the stuff that our people need night and day.
Armies almost always have to make do with what they are given and our servicemen and women are the best at adapting, innovating and improvising. Yet, there are certain things that cannot simply be improvised and Rumsfeld's response to legitimate questions only serve to make more people question whether we have the will to fight and win (from an Administration view, not from an armed forces view) and whether it isn't time for the Secretary to, you know, "step aside."
